Over the years it has become more common for individuals to ‘fly the nest’ and live far away from their families either within the UK or abroad which then makes it difficult for them to visit their loved one when they come into a care home. To support and maintain these relationships, we provide Ipads and Tablets within our lounges allowing residents access to the internet. This provides them and their family and friends a cheap and easy way to keep in contact through Skype, Whatsapp, Facetime, email, and social networking sites.
In addition to providing facilities for residents to keep in contact with relatives and friends, our aim is to also maintain up to date contact details for all their children and grandchildren can then be used to invite them to any events at the home.
